The Irish Celtic cross was formerly used in the state of Ireland to bring pagans into salvation. The first user of the Celtic cross was st Patrick even though most people associate st Declan with its introduction. When most people discovered that the Irish were using the Celtic flag, they also started to use it. Not many people were aware of the uses of the Celtic cross and no one would have taught them. Despite many using the Celtic cross, there was a large majority that never knew its purpose yet no one would have taught them how and why it was used. In modern days, the majority still believe that the Celtic cross is used in religion which is not true.

The construction of the Celtic cross is made of features a normal cross has but with circular rings at the intersection for it to be more prominent. The circles that are around the point of intersection are used to represent unification, totality, and wholeness. The Irish Celtic cross is also used as a symbol to show how proud one is about the Irish culture and lifestyle. Even when the Celtic cross has its roots established deep in the ancient belief of pagans, it is used in the Christian religion in the modern days. In native America, the Irish Celtic cross is used as a symbol of the medicine wheel. However, its establishment as a Christianity sign is only recognized mostly by the people of the catholic faith.
